SBI’s Parveen Gupta Reappointed as Non-Executive Chairman at Utkarsh Small Finance

The Board of Directors of Utkarsh Small Finance Bank Limited has approved the reappointment of Parveen Kumar Gupta as Part-Time Non-Executive Chairman from October 12, 2024, to August 31, 2026. Subject to the approval of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and shareholders.

Parveen Kumar Gupta is an associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and also a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). Gupta has more than 37 years of experience and multiple functions in the banking sector. Prior to joining Utkarsh Small Finance, he was associated with the Bank of Baroda as their senior advisor. He retired as the MD, Retail and Digital Banking, from the State Bank of India (SBI). He has held various positions in the SBI group, ranging from MD (compliance and risk), Deputy Managing Director and CFO (global markets), Whole-time Director, MD, Chief General Manager (global markets) in SBI to CEO in SBI Capital Markets and Deputy CEO in SBI-MACQUARIE Infra.
