Santanu Mukherjee Steps Down As Independent Director Of Bandhan Bank
Santanu Mukherjee, Independent Director of Bandhan Bank Limited, has resigned due to personal reasons, with effect from December 16, 2025.
Mukherjee is the former Managing Director of the erstwhile State Bank of Hyderabad, an associate bank of SBI. He has over four decades of experience in banking, finance, and risk management, holding various domestic and international assignments, including CEO of SBI, Paris (2004–2008), and Chief General Manager of State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur (2013–2014). He joined the SBI Group as a probationary officer. Mukherjee serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of Suven Life Sciences, Muthoot Housing Finance, Sumedha Fiscal Services, Rainbow Children’s Medicare, Aurobindo Pharma, and NACL Industries. He is also on the Board of Governors of the Institute of Management and Technology, Hyderabad. He holds a B.Sc. (Honours) from Presidency College, University of Calcutta, and a CAIIB certification from the Indian Institute of Bankers.
