Sanjiv Nandan Sahai Joins Bajaj Finserv As Independent Director

Sanjiv Nandan Sahai has been appointed as an Independent Director of Bajaj Finserv Limited, effective March 01, 2025, subject to the approval of the members.

Sahai is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the 1986 batch with extensive experience in policy formulation and infrastructure development. He served in the private sector as part of the Tata Administrative Service and as MD & CEO of Delhi Integrated Multimodal Transit System Ltd. (DIMTS). As Delhi’s Finance Secretary (2015-18), he managed the transition from VAT to GST and led Delhi Financial Corporation. As Home Secretary (2015-18), he worked on legal and constitutional matters. As Secretary, of the Ministry of Power (2019-21), he introduced reforms to enhance sustainability and investment in renewables. Post-retirement, Sahai founded and leads the Power Foundation of India and serves as Director of the Prime Minister’s Museum and Library.

He holds a master’s in public policy from Princeton University, a master of arts from Delhi University, and a bachelor of arts from Hindu College, Delhi University.
