S. Manikantan Appointed as Category Lead – Hospitals at Pfizer
The Board of Directors of the company has appointed Manikantan Seshadrinathan as Category Lead—Hospitals & Rare Diseases, with effect from July 29, 2024.
He will replace Shilpa Pradhan, Category Lead, Hospitals, Rare Diseases, Inflammation, and Immunology at Pfizer Limited, who will be transitioning to a different role within the Pfizer Group effective July 15, 2024. Accordingly, Pradhan will cease to be a Senior Management Personnel (SMP) on the same date.
The Board has also appointed Saral Gupta as Director, Market Access, effective August 1, 2024. Both will be designated as SMPs on their respective effective dates.
Shilpa Pradhan joined Pfizer as Country Brand Lead, Internal Medicine, and served in many other roles, such as Business Unit Lead for Women’s Health Care (Jan 2020–Dec 2021), Category Lead, Hospitals and India Neighbouring Markets (Dec 2021–Nev 2022), and her current role, which she has held since November 2022. Prior to Pfizer, she worked with GSK, MSD, and Abbott. She holds a bachelor’s degree in science and microbiology from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya and a postgraduate diploma from the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development.
Manikantan Seshadrinathan has over 18 years of experience, predominantly with Stryker in both India and the US. In his current role at Stryker India, he serves as the Director for the Mako SmartRobotics vertical. During his tenure at Boston Scientific, he secured investments for three Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa opportunities. He has a Bachelor in Engineering, Electronics, and Communication from SSN College of Engineering and a Masters in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toledo.
Saral Gupta has over 14 years of experience. He joined Pfizer in 2017 as Lead, Sales Services, Strategy, and held several positions of increasing responsibility. Before joining Pfizer, he was a senior consultant at IQVIA. Gupta holds a Master’s Degree in Technology in Process and Design Engineering and a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from IIT Delhi.
