Ronald S. Lauder Retires From Estée Lauder Board; Eric Zinterhofer Joins As Successor

Ronald S. Lauder has retired from The Estée Lauder Companies’ Board of Directors, effective immediately. He designated his son-in-law, Eric Zinterhofer, to succeed him as one of the Lauder family’s two Board representatives.

Eric Zinterhofer is a Founding Partner of Searchlight Capital Partners, overseeing the firm’s activities and serving on key committees. Previously a senior partner at Apollo Management, he chairs Charter Communications and serves on Liberty Latin America’s Board. He has advised on transactions including leveraged buyouts, growth equity, and recapitalisation.

Lauder will remain Chairman of Clinique Laboratories, LLC. Reflecting on his tenure, Lauder expressed gratitude for his role and confidence in Zinterhofer’s leadership. Board Chair William P. Lauder and Lead Independent Director Richard F. Zannino praised Lauder’s contributions and welcomed Zinterhofer as a valuable addition to the Board.
