Pidilite Industries’ Succession Plan Puts Sudhanshu Vats & Kavinder Singh In Lead

Pidilite Industries Limited has announced the succession plan, as the current Managing Director, Bharat Puri, is set to complete his term in April 2025. The Board of Directors of Pidilite Industries Limited approved the appointment of Sudhanshu Vats as Managing Director Designate. The Board also approved the appointment of Kavinder Singh as Executive Director and Joint Managing Director Designate. They will assume their new roles in April 2025.

Sudhanshu Vats is the current Deputy Managing Director of Pidilite Industries. Prior to Pidilite Industries, Vats was the CEO and Managing Director at EPL Ltd. (formerly known as Essel Propack Ltd.). He also led Viacom 18 Media Private Limited for 8 years as their group CEO and Managing Director. He started his career with Hindustan Lever Limited as a management trainee in 1991 and spent about twenty years in various sales, marketing, and general management leadership roles.

Kavinder Singh, currently the Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India Ltd. (MHRIL), has more than 38 years of experience in consumer-facing business sectors like FMCG and hospitality in reputed companies like ITC, Asian Paints, Mahindra, and earlier with Pidilite. Kavinder attended the General Management Programme at the Wharton School of Business and various programmes at Harvard, Yale, and IMD Lausanne Business School. He is currently the Chairman of the India Business and Biodiversity Initiative (IBBI) and also chairs the different committees of industry bodies. He is a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal.
