Paradeep Phosphates Appoints Raj Kumar Agrawal As An Additional Independent Director
Paradeep Phosphates Ltd. appoints Raj Kumar Agrawal as an Additional Director in the category of Independent Director for a term of five years with effect from October 13, 2026, subject to the approval of the members at the General Meeting.
He was associated with S. R. Batliboi & Co., an EY member firm, for more than 43 years and retired as a Senior Partner on June 30, 2019. During his professional career, he held several senior leadership positions, including Head of Risk Management, Regulatory Head, Head of Independence and Compliance, and Professional Practice Head (Technical Head). He has extensive experience in providing accounting, advisory and other professional services to companies across various sectors, including metals and mining, oil and gas, fertilizers, power and utilities, automobiles, industrial and consumer products, telecommunications, software, real estate, hospitality and infrastructure.
He has also served as a Special Invitee Member/Co-opted Member of the Accounting Standards Board and the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board of the ICAI in various years. He was conferred with the Times Business Icons North 2026 award for Excellence in Chartered Accountancy. Agrawal is currently engaged as a Consultant and Advisor, focusing on risk management, compliance management and improving corporate governance and the effectiveness of Boards and Audit Committees.
He holds a B.Com. (Hons.) degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce and is qualified as a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
