P. Rengan Appointed Executive Director of Pfizer
P. Rengan has been appointed as an Additional Director, designated as Executive Director, Plant Operations of Pfizer Limited, for a period of 5 years, with effect from October 28, 2023. Subject to the approval of shareholders.
Rengan is a pharmaceutical professional with over 20 years of experience in site operations and manufacturing and packaging operations and is the Senior Director, Plant Operations, of the company’s manufacturing facility in Goa. Rengan joined the company’s manufacturing site in Goa in 2004. During his tenure with the company, he has held several positions of increasing responsibility across a number of functions, including production, environment, health and safety, and operational excellence. He received the Global Best Practice Award from Wyeth LLC for developing and implementing the Skill-Will Competency-Based Training System for critical manufacturing operations. He has also conducted global audits in Indonesia, China, and Singapore. His experience and demonstrated performance in multiple functions and support for strategic projects provide him with a strong foundation for his role as Executive Director, Plant Operations. He is a Master of Technology in Pharmaceutical Operations and Management from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani; a Master of Business Administration from Annamalai University; and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.
In another change in senior management, Samir Kazi, Executive Director, Legal, tendered his resignation from the company to pursue an opportunity outside Pfizer Limited on September 12, 2023. The company has now informed that Samir Kazi’s resignation from employment will be effective on October 31, 2023. Accordingly, Kazi shall cease to be a Senior Management Personnel effective the said date.
Kazi shall also cease to be a member of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, Stakeholders’ Relationship Committee, and Board Administrative and Share Transfer Committee of the Board.
