ONGC Appoints Five New Executive Directors

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited has appointed Himanshu Pant, Sunil Kumar, Devendra Kumar, Bhaskar Chowdary Nettem, and Prabal Sengupta as Executive Directors (Senior Management Personnel) with effect from January 09, 2025.

Sunil Kumar has 33 years of professional experience. He started as an AEE (Production) in Hazira and has worked in Sivasagar/Nazira, Mumbai, Delhi, and Kakinada. He holds a B.Tech. degree in petroleum engineering and a postgraduate degree in management (M.B.A.) with a specialization in marketing.

Himanshu Pant has 34 years of professional experience. He began his career as an AEE (Production) in Mumbai and has served in various locations, including Mumbai, the head office in Dehradun, ONGC Academy, Sivasagar/Nazira, and Delhi. He holds a B.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering and a postgraduate diploma in Management (M.B.A.).

Devendra Kumar joined ONGC in February 1991 and has over 33 years of experience in Finance and Accounts functions, including 15 years with ONGC Videsh Ltd. He holds a postgraduate diploma in Management (PGDM, 1995) from IIM Ahmedabad and a degree in Electrical Engineering. He has worked in various roles in onshore and offshore units of ONGC, including overseas assignments.

Bhaskar Chowdary Nettem has 33 years of professional experience. He began his career as an AEE (Production) in Mumbai and has served in Mumbai, Mehsana, Delhi, Jorhat, OVL, and Nazira. He holds a B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering and an M.B.A. in International Business.

Prabal Sengupta has 31 years of professional experience. He began his career as an AEE (Production) in Mumbai and has served in various locations, including the Head Office in Dehradun, Mumbai, Sivasagar/Nazira, Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Kakinada. He holds a B.Tech. degree in Petroleum Engineering.
