Nandini Piramal, Peter DeYoung, Sridhar Gorthi & Peter Stevenson Reappointed To Board At Piramal Pharma

The Board of Piramal Pharma Limited has reappointed Nandini Piramal as Executive Director and Chairperson (Whole-Time Director), starting April 1, 2027. Peter DeYoung has been reappointed as Executive Director (Whole-Time Director), beginning October 6, 2026.

Further, the company has also reappointed Sridhar Gorthi and Peter Stevenson as Non-Executive Independent Directors, effective March 30, 2027.

In addition, Maneesh Sharma has been appointed as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer effective April 29, 2026, succeeding Pratibha Mishra, who has retired upon completion of her tenure.

Nandini Piramal is Chairperson at Piramal Pharma, where she oversees strategy and business performance across the company’s global operations, including development and manufacturing facilities and distribution across multiple countries. She also leads functions such as human resources, finance, risk, information technology, and quality. She serves as a Non-Executive Director at Piramal Enterprises and is associated with the Piramal Foundation. Her work spans business operations and social initiatives. Piramal holds a BA (Hons.) in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of Oxford and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Peter DeYoung is CEO of Piramal Global Pharma at Piramal Pharma Limited and a member of its Board. He is responsible for strategy and business performance across the company’s pharmaceutical operations. He has previously served as CEO of Piramal Critical Care and President of Piramal Life Sciences. Before joining Piramal, DeYoung worked in investing and consulting roles in healthcare across the US, Europe, and India. He began his career at McKinsey & Company and later worked with the World Economic Forum. He also held a role in private equity at Blackstone Group. DeYoung holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from Stanford University.

Sridhar Gorthi is a Founding Partner and Member of the management committee at Trilegal. He specialises in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and private equity, with experience across sectors including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, financial services, technology, telecom, and media. He has been recognised by legal industry platforms such as Asia Legal Awards, Legal 500 Asia Pacific, IFLR1000, and Chambers and Partners for his work in corporate M&A and banking and finance. He has also been listed among the top lawyers in India by the India Business Law Journal. Gorthi is a graduate of the National Law School of India University and is a member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa.

Peter Stevenson is a professional with experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and commercial operations. He was part of the global manufacturing leadership team at Pfizer, where his responsibilities included procurement, external supply, and oversight of manufacturing sites across North America, Europe, and Asia. He later served as General Manager of Pfizer’s contract manufacturing business and led operations for injectables and hospital products. He retired in 2019 as Vice President and General Manager (VP & GM) of Pfizer CentreOne. Stevenson has also served on the Board of Uniting to Combat Neglected Tropical Diseases. Earlier in his career, he worked with Rhone Poulenc and Celanese, including an assignment in France. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College.
