Meta Appoints John Koryl As VP Of Retail To Expand AI Wearables Sales

Meta Platforms Inc. has appointed John Koryl, former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The RealReal Inc., as Vice President of Retail with effect from February 14, 2025. The appointment was made to strengthen Meta’s sales channels for AI wearables, including Quest headsets and smart glasses.

Koryl will report to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Andrew Bosworth, the company stated in a memo to employees. The move aligns with Meta’s strategy to improve the retail experience for its AI-powered products. Koryl brings experience in e-commerce and retail operations, which Meta aims to leverage to expand its market presence. The company continues to invest in hardware development, with a focus on integrating AI-driven features into its consumer devices.
