Manoj Kumar Dubey Reappointed as Director of Concor India

Manoj Kumar Dubey’s tenure as the Director (Finance) of the Container Corporation has been extended. Dubey’s term was getting over on October 31, 2023, which has been extended till October 31, 2028, or until further orders.

Dubey has extensive experience in managing train operations and freight loading systems. He worked as the financial head of three major loading divisions of the Indian Railway for about 15 years – Dhanbad, Asansol, and Mughalsarai.

He served on the boards of joint venture companies involving General Electric (USA) and Indian Railways, Alstom (France) and Indian Railways, as well as NMDC, SAIL, and Indian Railways.

For the past five years, he has held positions in the PPP Directorate and Finance Commercial Directorate within the Railway Board, where he played a key role in important projects like establishing locomotive factories, contributing to high-speed rail and dedicated freight corridor initiatives, and structuring tariffs for trains and contracts. He also gained experience in drafting government proposals and managing international bidding processes for large projects.

Before joining the Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) in 1993, he worked for UTI for two years, focusing on educating rural communities about mutual fund opportunities.

In 2011, he received a national award from the Minister of Railways for his outstanding service. Some of his notable achievements include transitioning employee salary payments to banks, introducing electronic tendering and auctions, streamlining payment processes for contractors and suppliers, and computerising bill processing and pension settlements. He also made significant contributions to improving railway systems, incentive programs, and staff placements.

Additionally, he acted as a manager and government observer for various global tournaments overseas.

He completed his undergraduate and post-graduate studies at the Hindu College of the University of Delhi and earned an MBA with specialisations in Finance and Human Resources from the Department of Management Studies at the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. He was recognized with the overall Silver Medal for his batch in 2011-13, presented by the then President of India.
