Mahesh Sreenivasan Appointed Chief Risk Officer of RITES
Mahesh Sreenivasan, the General Manager of Legal and Corporate Social Responsibility, has been appointed as Chief Risk Officer of RITES Limited with effect from October 1, 2023. He replaces Pawan Choudhary, who was the Executive Director responsible for Buildings and Airports and also the Chief Risk Officer of the Company and retired on September 30, 2023.
Mahesh Sreenivasan has over 29 years of experience as a lawyer, in-house counsel and head of the Legal Dept. Presently he Heads the Legal and Corporate Social Responsibility Divisions of RITES Ltd, a multidisciplinary consultancy organisation in the fields of transport, infrastructure and related technologies and a publicly listed PSU under the Ministry of Railway, Govt of India.
Earlier around 2007, he worked as a manager in the legal department at IFCI Ltd and was on the board of Lloyd Electric and Engineering Ltd. His banking career at Punjab National Bank began in 1999, where he worked in different places in India for nine years. He started as a lawyer in 1994, practicing in the Kerala High Court for four years. His first job in law was at Lord Krishna Bank in 1998. He holds a postgraduate degree in Law and has done a Post Graduate Program in Business Administration from the National Institute of Technology, Kozhikode.
