Mahesh Rajaraman appointed Chief Risk Officer at Mahindra & Mahindra Financial

Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Limited appointed Mahesh Rajaraman as the Chief Risk Officer, with effect from August 1, 2024, for five years. He replaced Mallika Mittal, who had tendered her resignation due to her expectations not being met for quite a few months.

Mahesh Rajaraman, 52, holds three decades of experience in the banking sector. He had recently resigned from his position as Credit Head at the City Union Bank. Earlier, he served at Yes Bank for 8 years as Senior Group President responsible for Credit Policy for Retail and SME, besides strategising and implementing fraud risk strategies and AML. He also worked at HDFC Bank (12 years), HSBC Bank, and ANZ Grindlays Bank. His areas of expertise also include Retail Assets, Credit Cards, Agriculture and SME.

Mallika Mittal worked with Mahindra & Mahindra Finance for more than two years. Previously, she was associated with HDFC Bank for more than 17 years. She joined HDFC Bank as Head of Credit Policy, later, she served as Head of Operational Risk Management, Sr. Vice President, and Head of Enterprise Risk Management. She has also worked with ICICI Bank as Policy and Credit, Secured Loans, and Dealer Funding, and at IndusInd Bank as Product Development and Policy Manager. Her educational background includes PGPMAX from the Indian School of Business and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Jai Narain Vyas University.
