Lupin Appoints Jeffrey Kindler & Alfonso Zulueta as Independent Directors

The Board of Directors of Lupin Limited appointed Jeffrey Kindler and Alfonso Zulueta as Independent Directors of the company with effect from May 6, 2024.

Jeffrey Kindler, 68, served as a law clerk to Justice William J. Brennan, Jr., of the United States Supreme Court. He has over four decades of business experience and has held leadership positions at some of the world’s most recognised companies, including Pfizer, where he served as Chairman and CEO, as well as McDonald’s Corporation and General Electric Company. Before that, he was a partner at the law firm of Williams & Connolly. He is currently CEO of Centrexion Therapeutics and a senior advisor to Blackstone. He is Chairman of the Talent and Compensation Committee of Perrigo Pharmaceuticals; Chairman of the Audit Committee and Member of the Compensation Committee of Precigen Inc.; Chairman of the Compensation Committee of Terns Pharmaceuticals; and a member of the Audit and Compensation Committees of Jazz at Lincoln Center. He has completed a Bachelor of Arts degree (Summa cum Laude) from Tufts University, USA, and a Juris Doctor degree (Magna cum Laude) from Harvard Law School, USA.

Alfonso Zuleta, 61, spent over three decades in various roles of increasing responsibility with Eli Lilly and Company, including as Vice President of Global Marketing, President of Global Oncology and Critical Care Products, and most recently, as President of International, responsible for all geographies outside the United States and Canada. He also served as a corporate officer and member of Eli Lilly and Company’s Executive Committee. He previously served as a member of the Board of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations and the U.S.-Japan Business Council. Currently, he serves as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Interpharma Investments, the holding company of Zuellig Pharma, one of the largest healthcare services groups in Asia. He is also the CEO and owner of CZ Ventures. He serves as a Director of Glooko, Inc., and of CTS Corporation. He previously served as a Director of Amarin Corporation, Syneos Health, Inc., and Calidi Biotherapeutics, Inc. He serves on a number of committees of Boards including Audit, Compensation and ESG. He completed an Economics undergraduate degree from De La Salle University, Manila, where he was conferred the 2023 Outstanding Alumnus Award. He received an MBA degree in marketing and finance from the University of Virginia, USA.
