Lloyds Metals Appoints Shabbirhusein Khandwawala As Independent Director; Akshay Vora Succeeds Trushali Shah As CS
The Board of Directors of Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited has appointed Shabbirhusein Shaikhadam Khandwawala as Non-Executive Independent Director (Additional Director), effective December 18, 2024.
Akshay Vora has been appointed as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer (Key Managerial Personnel) of the company with effect from December 19, 2024. He has succeeded Trushali Shah, who has stepped down from the same position effective December 18, 2024.
Khandwawala earned his Master of Science in Organic Chemistry from Gujarat University in 1973 before joining the Indian Police Service (IPS), where he served until his retirement in 2010 as the Director General of Gujarat Police. After retirement, he contributed to security and intelligence and was appointed to the Lokpal Search Committee by the Government of India. From April 2021 to November 2024, he served as Head of Anti-Corruption and Security at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Vora has over 8 years of experience in Corporate Secretarial and Compliance functions. He is a qualified Company Secretary and an Associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). He has worked at organisations such as Welspun Enterprises Limited, Pen India Ltd., and The Dodsal Group, focusing on Corporate Governance, legal compliance, and regulatory matters, including the Companies Act, SEBI regulations, secretarial audits, CSR, and ESOPs. Vora holds a Bachelor of Commerce and LLB degree.
