Kalpana Morparia Retired As Independent Director Of HUL

Kalpana Morparia has completed her second term as Independent Director of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) with effect from October 8, 2024. Accordingly, she ceases to be the Independent Director and member of the Board of the company.

Kalpana Morparia was the former Chairman of JPMorgan in South and Southeast Asia. She is an Independent Director on the Boards of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd., HSBC Holdings Plc., and Philip Morris International Inc. Morparia also serves on the governing boards of the Bharti Foundation and the Foundation for Audit Quality (FAQ), and she is a Director of the Generation India Foundation. She had been with the ICICI Group since 1975 before joining JPMorgan India. She holds a Science and Law degree from Mumbai University and has been honoured by various international and national media outlets for her role as a pioneering female professional.
