JK Tyre appoints Krishna Bangur as Independent Director

Krishna Kumar Bangur is appointed as Non-Executive Independent Director of JK Tyre & Industries Limited, with effect from June 1, 2024. Meera Shankar has been reappointed as an Independent Director of the company for five years, with effect from January 30, 2025.

Krishna Kumar Bangur, 63, is currently the Chairman of Graphite India. He has been a Director of Graphite India since July 1988 and Chairman since July 1993. He has more than thirty-nine years of experience in managing the affairs of companies and business activities. He is the past President of the All India Organisation of Employers (AIOE) and the Indian Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM) and an Executive Committee member of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). He is also Chairman of GKW, among others. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Calcutta University.
