JK Lakshmi Cement Appoints Shwetambara Shroff Chopra as Independent Director

On May 23, 2024, the Board of Directors of JK Lakshmi Cement Limited approved the appointment of Shwetambara Shardul Shroff Chopra as an Additional Director in the category of Independent Director for three years, with effect from July 2024. Subject to the necessary approvals of the members of the company.

Shwetambara Shardul Shroff Chopra, aged 42, is a Partner in a well-known law firm, M/s Shardul AmarchandMangaldas, and has over 18 years’ experience in advising on corporate and competition law matters. She qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2007, after completing a training contract with Denton Wilde Sapte, London, and a secondment with Clifford Chance, London. She holds an LL.B. from the University of Wales, Cardiff, and an LL.M. from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is qualified to practice in India and in England and Wales. She is a Director on the Boards of Cavendish Industries and Bali Housing.
