Jeevaraj Gopal Pillai Appointed Whole Time Director Of Uflex

The Board of Uflex Limited has approved the appointment of Jeevaraj Gopal Pillai as Board Director – Sustainability, for a period of 5 years, subject to the approval of the shareholders.

The Board has also approved the reappointment of Ashok Chaturvedi as Chairman and Managing Director of the company for a period of 5 years, with effect from February 1, 2024.

The Board accepted the resignation of Jagmohan Mongia as Director with effect from November 14, 2023.

Jeevaraj Gopal Pillai has over 34 years of experience in the plastic packaging industry. Besides heading the flexible packaging business, he is also leading the ESG team at UFlex. Pillai has achieved many significant milestones in recycling technology, biodegradable plastics for packaging, etc. He has a BE (mechanical) and an MBA.

Ashok Chaturvedi is the promoter of Uflex, who has set up the business himself as a first-generation entrepreneur and has in-depth knowledge of the flexible package business. He has received many awards and accolades for his significant contribution to the packing industry. He was conferred with the ‘father of flexible packaging’ award at the 1st Global Conference on Plastic and Packing in 2019.
