Jana Small Fianance’s COO Rajesh Rao to step down

Jana Small Fianance Bank has informed the exchanges that Rajesh Rao has tendered his resignation from the position of Chief Operating Officer of the bank to pursue a part-time PhD programme at XLRI, Jamshedpur. His last working day will be with effect from the close of business hours on July 5, 2024.

Rao has had a 30-year career in the corporate sector, of which he spent nine years with Jana Bank. He has experience in Banking and Capital Markets as well as Financial services BPO, managing large complex operations (3,500 staff, global multisite operations) for global custodians, investment banks, brokers, transfer agencies, global financial information service providers, wealth managers, mortgage firms, retail banks, and credit card issuers. He has been associated with firms such as Exim Bank, Infosys, and Mphasis with CXO-level reporting since 2009.

Rajesh holds a BE and MBA degree and is a certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB).
