Jamshyd Godrej relinquishes board positions

Jamshyd Godrej reached the age of 75 on January 24, 2024, and decided to step down from the post of Non-Executive Non-Independent Director of companies, which includes Godrej Industries, Godrej Properties, Godrej Agrovet, and Godrej Consumer Products.

Jamshyd N. Godrej serves as the Chairman of the Board at Godrej and Boyce Manufacturing Company Limited. Formerly, he held the post of Chairman at Ananta Aspen Centre (formerly Aspen Institute India) and currently serves as Chairman and Trustee of Ananta Centre. Additionally, he holds the post of Chairperson on the Board of Directors for Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation, India Resources Trust, and the Council on Energy, Environment, and Water. He is a Director at the World Resources Institute, USA, and also serves as a Trustee for the World Wide Fund for Nature – India. Furthermore, he is a Trustee of the Asia Society, USA.

With a background in mechanical engineering, he graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology, USA. Jamshyd N. Godrej has a notable history of leadership, having been the past President of the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association. He currently holds the post of Chairman at the CII Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre.
