Independent Directors Of Apollo Tyres Vikram Mehta & Akshay Chudasama Have Retired
Vikram S. Mehta and Akshay Chudasama, Independent Directors of Apollo Tyres Limited, have completed their terms as independent Independent Directors on August 5, 2024.
Vikram Singh Mehta, is a former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Centre for Social and Economic Progress (CSEP). He serves on the Boards of L&T Ltd., Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M), Colgate Palmolive India, Global Health, Indigo Airlines, and Jubilant Foods.
Vikram received Asia House’s “Businessmen of the Year” award for 2010. He also received the Asia Centre for Corporate Governance and Sustainability Award for “Best Independent Director in India” in 2016.
Akshay Chudasama is the Managing Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., overseeing the firm’s operations in the Mumbai region. He advises foreign companies on entering the Indian market and assists Indian companies with their outbound acquisitions. He is a registered advocate with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa and a solicitor with the Law Society (England and Wales). He is also a member of the Bombay Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the Inter-Pacific Bar Association, the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation, and the Young Presidents’ Organisation. He has been practicing law since 1994, previously serving as a partner at AZB & Partners for over three years and at J. Sagar Associates (JSA) for nearly a decade. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from St. Xavier’s College (University of Bombay) and a law degree from the London School of Economics (University of London), UK.
