Honeywell Automation Appoints Atul Pai as MD, Thaj Mathew as ID
The Board of Directors of Honeywell Automation India Limited (HAIL) has approved the appointment of Atul Vinayak Pai, Non-Executive Non-Independent Director as the Managing Director and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) for five years with effect from May 16, 2024. Subject to approval of the Shareholders of the company. He replaced Ashish Madhukar Gaikwad, the Board accepted the resignation with effect from May 15, 2024.
Thaj Mathew has been appointed as an Additional Director (Non-Executive Non-Independent Director) with effect from May 16, 2024, to hold the office up to the date of the ensuing Annual General Meeting of the company.
The Board also approved the appointment of Girish Shastri as Director of the Global Engineering Services w.e.f. May 15, 2024. Shastri has around 32 years of experience in the Automation industry. He worked in various roles such as installation and commissioning, maintenance, procurement , project management, project operations, manufacturing , integrated supply chain and programme management. He is currently designated as Program Director oflife cycle services at Honeywell.
Atul Pai is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds directorship in Honeywell Hometown Solutions India Foundation as well. He has more than two decades of experience with Honeywell in various regional and global roles across finance functions. Pai spent eight years serving as Global CFO for Honeywell Building Solution. He has been a Member of the HAIL Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Director since 2021 and is a member of the Honeywell India leadership team.
Thaj Mathew is Vice President and General Counsel of Honeywell. Mathew has over two decades of experience and has been with Honeywell for more than 14 years holding multiple roles in India and globally. He currently serves as Vice President and General Counsel for Honeywell’s India operations and additionally leads legal function of Honeywell Technology Solutions, the captive engineering arm of Honeywell International Inc. His responsibilities include managing corporate governance of entities in India and driving pan India best practices amongst other things. He is a member of Honeywell’s global legal leadership team and Honeywell India leadership team.
