Hindustan Copper Welcomes Madhumita Daolagupu & Ashish Khetan On Board As Non-Official Independent Directors
Madhumita Daolagupu and Ashish Kumar Khetan have been appointed as Part-Time Non-Official Independent Directors on the Board of Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) with effect from August 14, 2026.
Madhumita Daolagupu has served as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Principal of Haflong Government College, Assam. During her academic career, she has been involved in institutional administration, financial affairs and infrastructure management. She also served as President of the Governing Body of Government Model College, Assam. In this role, she oversaw the college’s financial matters, maintenance and upkeep of buildings, and selection processes for teaching and non-teaching positions. Her experience includes academic leadership, institutional governance, financial administration and human resource management within government higher education institutions. She has worked across teaching and administrative roles during her 37-year career. Daolagupu holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees and has 37 years of experience in teaching, administration and financial management.
Ashish Kumar Khetan is currently a Senior Partner at Ashish Khetan & Co., Chartered Accountants, in Korba, Chhattisgarh. He also holds several institutional and professional positions. He serves as Secretary of the Korba Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Dronacharya Education Society, Korba. He is Vice President of Gaumukhi Sewa Dham and Shree Agrasen Sikshan Samiti, Korba. His professional associations include membership of the GST Appellate Tribunal Bar Association, Chhattisgarh, Saraswati Siksha Samiti, Korba Chamber of Commerce and other organisations. Khetan is a practising Chartered Accountant with qualifications in law and commerce and 27 years of experience across taxation, audit, finance, education, administration and governance.
