HDFC AMC Reappoints Navneet Munot as MD & CEO

The Board of Directors of HDFC Asset Management has approved the reappointment of Navneet Munot as Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for five years, with effect from July 1, 2024. Subject to the approval of the shareholders of the company.

The Board has approved the appointment of Sonali Chandak as Company Secretary, Compliance Officer, Head-Legal, and Key Managerial Personnel with effect from July 16, 2024. She replaced Sylvia Furtado. The Board of Directors has accepted Furtado’s resignation, and she will be relieved on July 15, 2024.

Navneet Munot is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Munot has been MD and CEO of the company since February 16, 2021, and has over three decades of experience in finance. In addition to his role within the company, he serves as the Chairman of the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI). In the past, he had worked with SBI Funds Management Private Limited as an Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer (CIO). He was also a Nominee Director on the Board of SBI Pension Funds Private Limited. He had also worked with Morgan Stanley Investment Management as an Executive Director and head of a multi-strategy boutique and then joined SBI Funds Management Private Ltd. in December. He is also a charter holder of the CFA Institute and CAIA Institute and has done Financial Risk Management (FRM) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
