Harish Shekar Appointed As CFO Of Siemens’ Energy business; Sapna Rawat To Join As CFO Digital Industries
Harish Shekar has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Siemens Limited’s Energy business, effective January 1, 2025. He succeeds Vineet Rastogi, who will transition to the role of Head of Accounting and Controlling at the company, also effective January 1, 2025.
Sapna Rawat has been appointed as the CFO of Siemens Limited’s Digital Industries business, effective February 1, 2025. She succeeds Kairav Modi, who will be taking on a new role within Siemens overseas.
Shekar has been the Head of Accounting and Controlling at Siemens Limited, India, since 2018. Before this role, he served as the Head of Shareholder Control at Siemens AG, Germany, overseeing Asia and the Middle East, and as Country CFO of Egypt with additional responsibility as Energy Sector Controller. With over 27 years at Siemens, Shekar has held several management roles in India and abroad, focusing on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, accounting, and audit. Before joining Siemens in 1997, he worked with a financial services company. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Cost Accountant.
Rastogi is CFO of the company’s Energy business. Over a 30-year career, he has worked with Big 4 firms in India and the UK, gaining experience in audit, financial due diligence, fraud investigation, risk advisory, and corporate governance. He transitioned to corporate roles, focusing on business finance, controlling, accounting, fundraising, investor relations, capex expansion, restructuring, and internal audit. His career spans multiple industries and geographies, including multicultural teams and international environments. Rastogi is a Chartered Accountant and a Cost Accountant.
Rawat is the Head of Assurance at Siemens. She has over 20 years of experience across South Asia, Africa, ASEAN, and Europe, working in business and functional roles. Since joining Siemens in 2021, she has led assurance activities across South Asia, ASEAN, and Australia. Rawat collaborates with Boards and senior management to deliver insights supporting organisational goals. She is a Chartered Accountant.
