HAL CMD D. K. Sunil Assumes Additional Charge As Director Engineering and R&D

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) announced that its Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), Dr. D. K. Sunil, will continue to hold additional charge as Director (Engineering and R&D) from April 9, 2025, to May 8, 2025, or until a regular appointment is made or further orders are issued—whichever is earlier.

Dr Sunil joined HAL in 1987 as a Management Trainee and has 37 years of experience in design, production, quality, and customer support. He led the development of technologies such as radar power systems and mission computers. He represents HAL on several Boards, including the Defence Innovation Organisation. He has authored seven journal papers, holds nine copyrights, and has one patent. He holds a B.E. in electronics and communication from Osmania University, an M. Tech. in aircraft production engineering from IIT Madras, and a Ph.D. in electronics science from the University of Hyderabad.
