
General Ved Prakash Malik Concludes His Tenure As Independent Director Of Nippon Life India Asset Management
General Ved Prakash Malik (Retd.) has retired as an Independent Director of Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited upon completion of his tenure, effective April 21, 2026.
Malik served in the Indian Army as Chief of the Army Staff from October 1, 1997, to September 30, 2000. In this role, he was responsible for advising the government and leading the Indian Army in its operational responsibilities. During his service, he was awarded the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and the Param Vishisht Seva Medal for his contributions. He has also received recognitions, including the Excellence in Leadership Award by Atur Foundation, Pride of Nation Award by Doon Citizens Council, and Distinguished Fellowship by the Institute of Directors. Since 2003, he has served as an Independent Director and advisor to multinational companies, contributing to Corporate Governance and strategic oversight.
