Gaurav Kumar Resigns As CFO Of Apollo Tyres
Gaurav Kumar has resigned as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) of Apollo Tyres Limited, effective from October 6, 2026, to pursue new personal and professional challenges outside the organisation.
Kumar has served as CFO of Apollo Tyres since May 2015. He is also a Director on the Board of Trusted Mobility Services and a member of Apollo Tyres’ Risk Management Committee. He began his career as a management trainee with UB Group in 1993 and has held diverse roles, including Executive Assistant to the Managing Director of a manufacturing company and a position with the acquisitions and alliances team of an IT company. He joined Apollo Tyres in March 2004 as Head of Corporate Strategy and has since played a key role in several strategic initiatives contributing to the company’s revenue and profitability.
He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi and an MBA in Finance from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. In February 2024, he was recognised as the Best CFO in the Auto & Auto Components category at the second Vibrant Bharat CFO Summit & Awards organised by ASSOCHAM.
