Former NBCUniversal Executive Joins Twitter as CEO Linda Yaccarino’s Appointed Business Operations Manager

Linda Yaccarino has officially assumed the position of Twitter’s new CEO. Yaccarino, who previously held a position at NBC, wasted no time in taking action as she appointed her trusted advisor, Joe Benarroch, to assist in the development of what she referred to as “Twitter 2.0,” a project driven by Elon Musk’s vision. Yaccarino extended a warm welcome to Benarroch via a tweet, signalling their collaboration.

Yaccarino’s appointment as Twitter’s CEO had been announced several weeks prior, with reports already hinting at her selection for the role. Elon Musk confirmed the news in a tweet, clarifying that Yaccarino’s primary focus would be on overseeing the business operations of Twitter while he would concentrate on product design and new technology.

Since Musk’s acquisition of Twitter in October 2022, the platform has undergone substantial transformations, both internally and externally. Musk implemented cost-cutting measures, resulting in the termination of approximately 80% of the workforce, and introduced Twitter Blue, a premium subscription service that impacted users who had previously earned the coveted verification badge. Musk’s management style has drawn criticism from employees and Twitter users alike.
