Former Navy Captain Jagmohan Appointed CMD Of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders

Former Navy Captain Jagmohan has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, effective from the date he assumes charge and will continue until his superannuation on September 30, 2029.

At present, Captain Jagmohan serves as Director of Corporate Planning, Projects, and Business Development at Goa Shipyard Limited. His appointment is expected to bring continuity and experience to the organisation, given his professional background in shipbuilding and defence-related projects. He holds a bachelor’s degree in naval architecture and shipbuilding from Cochin University of Science and Technology. Captain Jagmohan also holds a master’s degree in naval construction from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, a second master’s degree in naval architecture and ocean engineering from IIT Kharagpur, and has completed a master’s thesis on the “effect of welding on corrosion” at RWTH Aachen University.
