Former BofA Executive Mike Joo Appointed As Investment Bank Co-CEO Of Barclays
Barclays has appointed former Bank of America (BofA) executive Mike Joo as Co-Chief Executive Officer of its Investment Bank, alongside incumbent Adeel Khan, as the British lender works to increase revenue from the business. Joo will join Barclays in early 2027 and take up the Co-CEO role in February, subject to regulatory approval.
Most recently, Joo served as Co-Head of Global Investment Banking at Bank of America, where he was involved in advising corporate clients and overseeing investment banking operations. He is an investment banking executive with nearly two decades of experience at Bank of America. He joined the bank in 2006 and held senior positions across its corporate and investment banking and markets businesses. Joo will also join Barclays’ Group Executive Committee, the lender’s senior decision-making body.
