Dr. Vajja Sambasiva Rao Reappointed As Independent Director Of Suven Life Sciences

Dr. Vajja Sambasiva Rao has been reappointed as Non-Executive Independent Director of Suven Life Sciences Limited for a second term of five (5) years w.e.f. January 21, 2027, subject to approval of the shareholders.

Dr. Rao served as Vice Chancellor of SRM University-AP until September 2022 and later as Adviser to its President and Pro-Chancellor until October 2025. Since November 2025, he has been an Advisor to the BITS Pilani Amaravati Campus. Earlier, he was President of NIIT University and Acting Vice-Chancellor and Director at BITS Pilani, where he contributed to the establishment of the Hyderabad campus. He is also a member of the APSCHE Expert Committee for screening private universities. He is an academician and administrator with experience in higher education, chemistry, and institutional development. Dr. Rao holds an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Chemistry from BITS Pilani and is an alumnus of the University of Bielefeld, Germany.
