Dr.Lakshmi Venu And Kuok Meng Xiong Leave TVS Motor Board

Kuok Meng Xiong had ceased to be an Independent Director of TVS Motor Company Limited with effect from August 6, 2024, due to his resignation owing to his increasing business commitments and personal reasons.

Dr. Lakshmi Venu also retires from the board as she did not offer herself for reappointment due to her increased responsibilities and commitments at Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE) and Sundaram Clayton Limited (SCL).

Dr. Lakshmi Venu is the Managing Director of Sundaram Clayton Ltd. Her father, Venu Shrinivasan, is the Chairman Emeritus and MD of the company, as well as the group’s flagship, TVS Motors. She did her initial training at Sundaram Auto Components Ltd. and has also worked in the fields of business strategy, corporate affairs, product design, and sales and marketing for the company. Dr. Laxmi has completed her graduation from Yale University and also earned a doctorate in engineering management from the University of Warwick.

Meng Xiong, Founder and Managing Partner of K3 Ventures, is currently on the Boards of Next Gen Foods, ByteDance (Singapore), Logivan, SoCash, and the Anglo-Chinese Schools Foundation. He also serves as a Sr. Advisor at TPG Capital. He started his career with the Shangri-La the Shangri-La Group’s Shangri-La Hotels.
