Dish TV shareholders are calling for board changes and an EGM

Dish TV has told the stock exchanges that institutional shareholders owning 45% of the firm have requested the appointment of K Badrinarayanan, Satish Kumar Yanamandra, and Jeet Sengupta to the board. They have also asked that Rashmi Aggarwal and Shankar Aggarwal be removed from the board. These investors believe that these independent directors are Essel group affiliates who are not practising good corporate governance. Shareholders rejected the candidature of four independent directors in early March, leaving just two IDs Rashmi Aggarwal and Shankar Aggarwal on the board.
