Dhiraj Saxena Resigns As CTO Of Poonawalla Fincorp Over Alleged CHRO Harassment

Poonawalla Fincorp Limited’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Dhiraj Saxena, resigned on September 6 and vacated office on December 3, citing harassment by the company’s Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

Saxena stated in his letter of resignation that “unnecessary interventions” made it difficult for him to successfully manage the IT department, which disrupted team morale and affected IT delivery. His resignation follows recent management changes, including the appointment of Arvind Kapil as Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in June 2024 and the appointment of Harsh Kumar as CHRO in July. There have been concerns regarding Kapil’s leadership style, with some believing he brought in his team, affecting the company’s transition.
