Deepak Mahendra Appointed as Independent Director at Automotive Stampings

Starting from May 20, 2023, Deepak Mahendra was appointed as an Additional Director at Automotive Stampings & Assemblies Limited, holding the position of Non-Executive Independent Director for a period of five years. Aged 70, he has been actively involved as a Consultant with Auto Cluster and is an esteemed member of MCCIA. His extensive expertise in the automotive sector brings great value to the Board and the company. Deepak Mahendra holds a B. Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai, batch of 1976.

He began his career at Telco (now Tata Motors Limited) and subsequently joined the Kalyani Group, where he remained associated for 36 years. During his tenure, he served in various capacities at Bosch Chassis Systems India Ltd (Bosch) for over 30 years. He held the position of head of the Strategic Business Unit (Profit centre) at Bosch, where he played a pivotal role in conceptualising and implementing a project to establish a modern manufacturing unit for Brake Systems and Components catering to both domestic and export markets. He also possesses experience in the establishment of joint ventures and managing After Market Operations.
