COO Daniel Shapero Succeeds Ryan Roslansky As CEO Of LinkedIn Amid AI Shift

LinkedIn, owned by Microsoft, has appointed Daniel Shapero as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), replacing Ryan Roslansky, effective immediately. The company has also appointed Mohak Shroff as President of Platforms and Digital Work as part of the leadership changes.

Shapero joined LinkedIn in 2008 and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer (COO). He also worked as vice president of product and led teams across business functions. Before LinkedIn, Shapero worked as a consultant at Bain & Company and was involved in a startup. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from Johns Hopkins University.

Roslansky is Executive Vice President (EVP) at LinkedIn and Microsoft, overseeing LinkedIn and Microsoft Office, and is part of Satya Nadella’s senior leadership team. He joined LinkedIn in 2009 and has held roles across the company. As CEO from 2020, he led growth in revenue to USD 19.5 billion and expanded the platform’s user base and engagement. Before that, he served as Global Head of Product, managing product strategy, development, user experience, and operations. Roslansky is co-author of Open to Work and hosts “The Path,” where he speaks with business leaders. He serves on the Board of Intuit and is a trustee at the Paley Center for Media.
