Cipla Appoints Sanjay Varughese Joseph as VP & Head – Manufacturing – API Business

The Board of Directors of CIPLA Limited has approved the appointment of Sanjay Varughese Joseph, Vice President and Head, API Business, as Senior Management Personnel with effect from June 1, 2024.

Furthermore, the Board noted that S. Radhakrishnan, Non-Executive Director is not seeking reappointment and will retire upon the conclusion of the 88th AGM of the company.

Sanjay Varughese Joseph has more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, managing global markets, large B2B complex sales operations, and strategic partner alliances. Prior to joining Cipla, Joseph was the global head of API sales and marketing at Biocon. Other positions included roles at ACG (Associated Capsules), Piramal Enterprises, Boots Pharmaceutical (now Reckitt & Benckiser), and Roussel India (now Sanofi). He holds an MBA degree in marketing from Newport University, California, and a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Mumbai University.
