Chengalath Jayaram Retired from Kotak Mahindra Bank’s Board

Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited has announced that Chengalath Jayaram’s term as a Non-Executive Director of the bank has ended on April 30, 2024, on completion of eight continuous years in line with the provisions of Section 10A (2A)(i) of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. Consequently, Jayaram has ceased to be a Director on the Board of the bank upon completion of the aforesaid term.

C. Jayaram, 65, has over 38 years of experience in finance. Earlier, he served as MD at Kotak Securities. During his tenure with Kotak Group, spanning 26 years, he spearheaded various ventures, including Private Banking, Alternative Investments, and international operations, culminating in his retirement as Joint Managing Director in April 2016. Prior to his tenure at Kotak Group, he worked at Overseas Sanmar Financial.

He holds a B.A. in Economics and a PGDM from IIM Kolkata.
