Charanjot S. Nanda Takes Over As ICAI President, Prasanna Kumar D. As Vice President

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has elected CA Charanjot Singh Nanda as its President and CA Prasanna Kumar D. as its Vice President for the 2025-26 term. The election took place at ICAI’s 26th Council meeting on February 12.

Nanda, a Fellow Member of ICAI with over three decades of experience, has previously served as Vice President and held multiple leadership roles within the institute. The oath of office was administered by Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Law and Justice. Prasanna Kumar D, also a seasoned Chartered Accountant, has been elected to the Central Council of ICAI for three consecutive terms and brings extensive experience to his new role.

ICAI stated that the new leadership will focus on strengthening the role of chartered accountants in economic policymaking and global financial reporting standards. The institute also aims to expand its digital initiatives and training programs to enhance professional development.
