CFI Appoints Tata Projects’ Vinayak Pai as National Council President

Vinayak Pai, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) of Tata Projects, has been appointed by the Construction Federation of India (CFI) as President of its national council.

The CFI stated on Sunday that the National Council will be formed for a 2 year term (FY25–FY26) in a statement.

Akhil Gupta, Executive Director and CEO of Shapoorji Pallonji has been appointed as Vice President, and Priti Patel, Deputy Director of Patel Engineering appointed as Treasurer.

The newly formed National Council includes representatives from major infrastructure construction companies across India, such as Ajit Bhate, Managing Director of Precast India Infrastructures, and Arjun Dhawan, Vice Chairman of Hindustan Construction Company Ltd.

Other members of council include Hardik Agrawal, Director of Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon; M V Satish, Adviser to CMD for Buildings & Member ECOM at L&T Ltd; Nalin Gupta, Managing Director of J Kumar Infraprojects; Krishnam Raju P, Vice President at NCC Ltd; Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director & CEO of KEC International; and Yogen Lal, CEO of Welspun Enterprises Ltd.

The council also unanimously nominated Ajit Gulabchand as President Emeritus, according to the statement.

Since its establishment in 2000, CFI has been a leader in policy advocacy and fostering collaboration between industry stakeholders and government agencies.
