Birla Corporation’s Independent Director Dhruba Narayan Ghosh Passes Away

Birla Corporation Limited had announced the sad demise of company’s Independent Director Dhruba Narayan, on November 7, 2023.

Dhruba Narayan Ghosh was associated with Birla Corporation since October 2007 and played a key role. He was a guiding light and mentor to the Company for more than one and a half decades. Previously he held the position of Secretary to the Government of India and Chairman of SBI. He also led the Boards of L&T, Philips (India), Peerless Group of Companies, the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, and the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. Currently, he serves on the Board of many companies.
