Barclays India Appoints Sonali Sharma As Managing Director
Barclays India appoints Sonali Sharma as Managing Director, Head of India Legal and Lead of India Regulatory and Government Relations.
Sharma is currently Managing Director at Barclays, having previously served as Head of Legal at Bank of America and Avendus. With extensive experience in banking and finance law, she has held senior legal roles at Standard Chartered Bank and Juris Corp, specialising in capital markets, structured finance, private equity, credit, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory matters. She also works as a volunteer with Cuddles Foundation.
She completed her LL.B. from Government Law College, Mumbai, and pursued solicitor training at the Bombay Incorporated Law Society. She also completed her HSC at Sophia College, Mumbai.
