Astec Lifesciences Re-appoints Anurag Roy as Whole-Time Director & CEO

The Board of Directors of Astec Lifesciences Limited has reappointed Anurag Roy as the Whole-Time Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for a term of three years, with effect from July 28, 2024. The appointment is subject to the approval of the shareholders.

Anurag Roy has more than 24 years’ experience working for leading pharmaceutical and chemical companies such as DSM, Dr. Reddy’s Labs, BASF, and Jubilant Life Sciences. Roy joined Astec Lifesciences in July 2021 from Navin Fluorine International, where he was working as COO-CRAMS, Pharmaceuticals. He was responsible for P&L managing and growing the global contract development and manufacturing business with global footprints (UK, Japan, USA) and GMP manufacturing in India. He was also responsible for building the customer base and global teams and introducing newer technology and capability enhancement by setting in-house capabilities, or CMOs, to cater to the drug development pipelines of innovators. At Astec Life Sciences Limited, his primary contributions are in scaling the existing CDMO business and building institutional capabilities for two herbicide plants and the Research & Development (R&D) Centre. He is a B.Tech. from HBTI, Kanpur. He completed his Masters in International Business from IIFT and also did his Executive MBA from Columbia Business School, New York, USA.
