APAC head Pradeep Parameswaran is promoted to a global role at Uber

According to an ET report, Pradeep Parameswaran, who was previously in charge of Uber’s Asia Pacific operations, has been elevated to a global role.

Now he will oversee business development efforts worldwide, also taking charge of enterprise product management and spearheading a newly established team focused on the ‘fleets’ program.

The transition comes after Parameswaran’s prior leadership of Uber’s India operations, with his ascent to the APAC role occurring amidst the challenges of the 2020 pandemic.

According to the report, Parameswaran will also take the helm of Uber’s recently formed ‘fleets’ team. As fleet operators grow in importance within Uber’s supply chain, especially with the anticipated introduction of electric and autonomous vehicles, his move to New York signifies his assumption of this global responsibility.

Moreover, he played roles in Uber’s acquisitions of CarNextDoor in Australia and HKTaxi in Hong Kong in 2022 and 2021, respectively. While he also serves as an Independent Director on the board of FSN E-Commerce Ventures.
