
Amit Banati Replaces Luca Zaramella As CFO Of Mondelez International; Zaramella Transitioned To COO Role
Mondelez International appointed Amit Banati as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective July 1, 2026. He replaces Luca Zaramella, who moved to Chief Operating Officer (COO) in January 2026 after more than eight years as finance chief.
Banati worked at Kellogg Company for about 13 years as CFO and continued after the separation into Kellanova until May 2025. He later served as CFO at Kenvue for about one year. He also worked at Cadbury Schweppes and at Kraft Foods, which preceded Mondelez International. His career also includes work at Procter & Gamble. Banati holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from St Xavier’s College, Kolkata, and a postgraduate diploma in finance & marketing from IIM-Lucknow.
Zaramella is Executive Vice President (EVP), COO, and CFO of Mondelez International, a snacking company with 2025 net revenues of 38.5 billion dollars from brands including Oreo, Ritz, LU, Clif Bar, Tate’s Bake Shop, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Milka, and Toblerone. He oversees commercial operations across four geographic regions, along with sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance functions. He joined Mondelez in 1996 in Italy and has held roles across Latin America, Europe, and North America. Between 2014 and 2016, he served as Corporate Controller, Treasurer, and Head of Financial Planning and Analysis. Earlier, he was Senior VP of Finance of Mondelez Europe. He holds a degree in business administration and finance from Ca’ Foscari University in Venice.
