Alkyl Amines Chemicals Appoints Bhavna Doshi as Independent Director

The Board of Alkyl Amines Chemicals Limited has approved the appointment of Bhavna Doshi as Additional Director (Independent Director) for five years, with effect from May 9, 2024. Subject to the approval of shareholders.

Bhavna Doshi, 70, partner of Bhavna Doshi Associates LLP, is a former Senior Advisor to KPMG and former partner of a KPMG member firm in India. Doshi has experience spanning over 30 years. She is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). She serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of several listed companies. She was elected to the Council of ICAI for four terms of three years each. She has chaired the Accounting Standards Board, Research, Vision 2021, and other committees of ICAI. She was also a member of a group supporting the Tax Administration Reform Commission, chaired by Dr. Parthsarathy Shome. She has served as a member of the Government Accounting Standards Advisory Board set up by the Controller and Auditor General of India. She was a member of the compliance committee of the International Federation of Accountants, headquartered in New York. She was President of the Indian Merchants’ Chamber and is actively associated with its activities. She, during her presidency, established the “IMC Inclusive Innovation Awards” to recognise the work of grass-roots innovators that meet the criteria of “affordable excellence.”
