Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Appoints Rishi Awasthi As Chief Information Security Officer

The Board of Directors of Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Limited has approved the appointment of Rishi Awasthi as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and a Senior Management Personnel, with effect from October 1, 2026, in place of Basil Dange who has tendered his resignation as CISO, due to personal reasons. His resignation has been accepted by the company effective from September 25, 2026.

Rishi Awasthi is an Information Security and Cyber Risk Professional with over 14 years of experience across BFSI, Technology, Telecom and Consulting Sectors. He has been associated with Aditya Birla Capital since May 2023 as Lead – Privacy and IS Audit. Prior to joining ABCL, he worked with RSM India, Willis Towers Watson, Deloitte India and Tata Consultancy Services where he held roles spanning Cyber Security, IT Assurance and Technology Risk. He holds a Bachelor’s of Technology (B. Tech) in Computer Science Engineering, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in IT Business Management and he has also completed the General Management Programme from ISB. He is professionally certified in CISA, CISM, CRISC, and CDPSE among other globally recognised Cybersecurity credentials.
